The first day of my career as an artist…Daycare Day 1.

Posted by Caroline Valpied on

All parents are going to relate to this one…it’s the night before the big day, in our case DAYCARE DAY 1! Who wakes up at midnight and then DOES NOT GO TO SLEEP FOR 3 HOURS??? It was a perfect storm of bin night, husband on school camp and anxious mother. Finally, I gave up and snuggled the little darling into my bed (reality – baby eventually falls asleep sideways and I cling to the edge of the bed waking up with a jolt every so often to check he hasn’t crawled off the side).

Fast forward a few long hours and we get up and get to daycare. Unlike most parents (I’ve been led to believe) I had actually been looking forward to daycare. I imagined long, blissful, coffee-fuelled hours of painting, carefree in the knowledge my sweet child was loving life playing with new friends and toys. This is what actually happened…

We arrive and while I’m waffling to an educator about ideal naptimes, Sal has pinched another child’s yogurt pouch and squirted it all over the floor. I rush to clear it up and sort of tell him off while saying a fumbled goodbye, rushing out the door before I burst into tears…but I hear him burst into tears before the room door even swings shut and it’s TERRIBLE!

At home I listlessly shove a load of paint at the canvas, hate it, call the daycare centre (newsflash: Sal has been, “A little upset,” a.k.a. in floods of tears, like I couldn’t have guessed that, call back in an hour). So what do I do? I do what any sensible person would do. I go to bed. Apart from when I rang to call daycare (again) to check on Sal, I slept until 12.30pm. Then I called again, and then one more time, then I went and got him.

My first day as a working artist felt like a total failure, but if there’s one thing I’ve learnt as a mother over the past year, it’s to not be too hard on myself. I had unrealistic expectations – I was probably never going to whip up a masterpiece in a couple of hours on three hours sleep while my baby made lifelong besties. First day of daycare was tough for both Sal and I, but it was a baby step in the right direction. I will still conquer the art world and my baby WILL love daycare – watch this space!

Photos from Day 2, which was clearly more successful for both of us.

My mini me! Feeling like a bit of a twit taking photos of myself.

  • Hello guys, after I lost my Dad in 2021, everything became very hard for me and my siblings, we could not pay our bills anymore as life took a turn on our flesh, I can’t use my credit card because my credit score was that bad but I needed to figure out how to help my family. To get a house and a car to keep the family running but I could not because of my poor credit score. I thought everything was over for me and siblings because my Dad was everything to us, all hope seems gone, not until I came across MR. JERRY who helped me out with my credit score, from 534 to 786 excellent credit score. All thanks to him and his team for clearing all the negative items on my report. You can reach out to him via email: jerrylinkcreditgroup.com to appreciate me later.

  • Numerous online trading platforms and exchange platforms have, unfortunately, led to an unavoidable surge in fraudulent activities, a reality I experienced firsthand. During the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, I actively sought legitimate avenues to generate passive income, aiming to mitigate the significant financial setbacks my business had incurred due to the global crisis. This pursuit led me to explore investments in binary options and forex trading, a decision that, in retrospect, proved to be a critical error. Unfortunately, I encountered sophisticated scammers and con artists, which ultimately resulted in a substantial loss of 15.70137 BTC. The financial and emotional toll of this experience left me feeling utterly despondent and hopeless. I consulted with my legal counsel, who recommended that I contact a specialized ethical hacking and recovery firm known as DuneNectar-WebExpert. I am profoundly grateful for their intervention and am fully prepared to provide detailed testimony regarding their invaluable assistance. Upon establishing contact and providing all the necessary information and requirements for my recovery task, DuneNectar-WebExpert successfully recovered my lost funds. • Security against cryptocurrency scams should be a priority for whoever is elected president. Every day, diligent Americans lose money to cryptocurrency scammers operating from foreign nations. I lost over $143k to cryptocurrency investment scammers, so I’ve got my fair share of this scam epidemic. I can’t even begin to picture how my financial life would have changed if I hadn’t been able to contact RecoveryHacker101, the greatest cryptocurrency recovery service. You can contact the expert who assisted me solely via email at RecoveryHacker101[at]Gmail[dot]Com if you have been a victim of this crypto fraud epidemic.

My name is Karren Walker and as a final year university student determined to graduate without placing financial strain on my parents the prospect of a scholarship felt like a lifeline. One evening I received an email about a blockchain innovation grant, a scholarship program seemingly designed for aspiring tech students like me. The timing felt almost providential. The website was immaculate sleek design glowing testimonials and endorsements from well known tech influencers. A video featured a panel of industry leaders discussing the future of crypto and education. Every detail screamed legitimacy. They asked for a security deposit of $38000 in cryptocurrency. Strange yes but the application process was so detailed, the messaging so sophisticated and the social proof so convincing that I dismissed my doubts. I thought this could be my big break. I gathered funds through savings, a small loan and contributions from close friends and transferred the money. By morning it was all gone. I was shattered. The financial loss was staggering but the emotional toll was even worse humiliation self blame disbelief. I couldn’t even tell my parents. Then a classmate overheard my distress and recommended Passcode Cyber Recovery. I had already been burned but I reached out. To my surprise Passcode Cyber Recovery responded immediately with empathy and zero pressure. Their team acted with clarity and urgency. They traced the crypto wallet I had sent funds to and uncovered a sophisticated scam network operating across scholarship forums and Reddit, a larger pattern they had been investigating. Within two weeks they recovered $28500. It wasn’t everything but it was enough to stay in school repay part of my loan and reclaim my sense of direction. I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without Passcode Cyber Recovery. Their transparency, speed and compassion made all the difference. I share this to warn others online scams are getting alarmingly advanced. They target ambition and vulnerability. If you fall victim, don’t suffer in silence. Reach out, verify everything and remember with experts like Passcode Cyber Recovery is possible.
