Mum Guilt and is painting a job?!

Posted by Caroline Valpied on

Every mother knows this feeling. Your needs don't always match up to your little one's needs and there is a push/pull. At the beginning you kind of have to get out of bed and feed the baby (how dare they be hungry when you're desperately trying to get just one hour shut-eye?!) and look after them the rest of the time. If you're a completely deranged control freak like me (and there are no local grandparents to detach you from your new family member) you think you should be with them all the time until you go completely mad. I don't recommend this.

N.B. This is the daycare (how fun! so much stuff! nature!) not my backyard.

My point is that we've put Salvador in daycare and I've been transitioning to this new reality, just like he has. He actually really likes it. I only rang up 12 times on the first day. It's gone down a bit since then.

He's only in two days a week, but from next week it will be three. Is this fair? Is painting a real job? Does it warrant incarcerating my child? *slight hysteria rising in voice* Well, clients are paying me to paint so it's a freelance job that's earning us an income. What about when I'm painting for an exhibition? What about when I take a break? Am I allowed to take breaks?

Most of us have to work and that usually means their children have to be looked after by others. It just feels so weird to be entirely freelance so no boss, no hours to keep to, at home, but without Salvador. I think the weird part is that painting doesn't feel like a job. It's a part of me I need to feed to calm me down and make me (relatively, ah-hem) normal. If I didn't like my job, would that validate daycare somehow?

What do you think? To daycare or not to daycare. To follow your passion and build an art career or to smother your little one in kisses all day (which let's face it, is a pretty good way to spend your time). These are my questions...

  • The specter of fraud looms large, casting a shadow of doubt and despair over unsuspecting investors. I, like so many others, fell victim to the siren song of fraudulent investment companies, losing a staggering $1,200,000 USDT and nearly losing myself in the process. It was a devastating blow that left me reeling, grappling with emotions of shame and anxiety. The journey into the abyss began innocently enough, as I stumbled upon an enticing offer from a seemingly reputable cryptocurrency investment company on Facebook. Seduced by promises of lucrative returns and a bright financial future, I cast caution to the wind and entrusted my hard-earned funds to their care. Little did I know, I was unwittingly placing my faith in the hands of cunning fraudsters, whose sole aim was to deceive and defraud. As weeks turned into months, my initial optimism gave way to mounting frustration and despair as the company repeatedly stonewalled my attempts to withdraw my funds. Each withdrawal request was met with a litany of excuses and demands for additional fees, plunging me deeper into a quagmire of deception and deceit. It was a lonely and harrowing feeling one marked by sleepless nights and endless searches for a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness. But just when all seemed lost, a ray of light pierced through the gloom in the form of Digital Web Recovery—a beacon of hope in a sea of struggles. From the moment I reached out to them, I knew I was in capable hands. Their expertise shone through in every interaction, as they patiently listened to my story and crafted a tailored plan of action to reclaim what was rightfully mine. Unlike other recovery services I had encountered, Digital Web Recovery didn’t just offer empty promises—they delivered results. Within days of engaging their services, Digital Web Recovery embarked on a relentless pursuit of justice, leveraging their expertise and resources to track down the perpetrators and reclaim my stolen funds. Their commitment to transparency and integrity was evident every step of the way, as they kept me informed of their progress and provided regular updates on the status of my case. Most importantly, Digital Web Recovery offered more than just financial restitution—they offered solace and support. Their compassionate and empathetic approach helped me navigate the emotional toll of my ordeal, offering a sense of closure and redemption that I thought was beyond reach. In the end, Digital Web Recovery proved to be more than just a recovery service—they were a lifeline in my hour of need, restoring not only my stolen funds but also my faith in the inherent goodness of humanity. To anyone who finds themselves ensnared in the web of cryptocurrency fraud, I wholeheartedly recommend Digital Web Recovery. They are not just experts in their field—they are guardians of justice, standing ready to restore hope and dignity to those who have been wronged. Contact info;

  • Being a scam victim can depressing, you were given empty promises. They usually stop replying after achieving their aim with hurts even more, i have been there too as i was too ambitious and wanted financial security which made me invest a huge chunk of my life savings. I never thought i would be getting back a dime back and already lost hope until i contacted a team which was just a leap of faith as i wasn’t going to go down without a fight. CM, a recovery expert that helped me get a significant sum of my investment back. Do not brood alone, make a move too, send a mail to Lisatheo225 @gmail com

  • I met my husband while we were in college. We dated for quite a long time and cohabited and it was all love and bliss while both building our dreams. Things become very awkward when he travelled for a workshop and stayed for 6 months. He changed when he visited and i found out that he was seeing someone else in Ohio and he was serious with her. It broke me because i loved my husband so much and would do anything to have him back to myself alone. I had to reach out to Dr Ilekhojie who helped my aunt in the past and I complied with the instructions he gave me and repaired my marriage. My husband returned last week and i saw a message between him and this lady and he told her to stay away as he wants to focus on our marriage and start having kids. . All thanks to this great Dr Ilekhojie who i met through my aunt. Se his details here if you ever need his help. Email: gethelp05@gmail.com or contact his phone number +2348147400259
